How I got here
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with travel. I credit this obsession to my aunt and uncle. I was raised on their stories of far away lands and craved the tastes of the foreign places they brought to the table every Hanukkah and the collage of pictures from the other side of the world on their holiday card.
These glimpses into different countries and cultures shaped me into the person I am today. Now, I want to be just like them - trying foods I’ve never seen and can't pronounce, sharing hostel rooms with strangers, and taking the wrong trains.
I’m starting this website to share the favorite museums I’ve visited, the best food I’ve ate, and the things that surprised me the most. Recommendations are my love language, and I want to talk about unknown destinations, places you can’t miss, and what tourist traps are absolutely worth it.
I’ll share bites from my own favorite trips, places I’m excited about, and my life in Austin - because if there’s one thing I believe is that you should never stop being a tourist in your own town too.
Au revoir,
Mia

I spent a semester abroad in Barcelona studying the principles of design thinking, start-up creation, and brand design. I also fell in love with tapas, Spanish wine, and the sun setting at 9 o’clock. I dream of one day moving back.
